Philippe Safire’s Lines is an ongoing art project to be experienced through social media feeds on Instagram and Twitter. The piece consists of multiple animations posted online without captions or search tags. The lines of pixels suggest a colored alphabet whose movement follows different reading customs: from left to right or top to bottom. Lasting a few seconds, Lines mirrors our brief attention span in the Digital Age. Meant to exist on connected devices, Lines is accessible by anyone from everywhere.
